TESSELLATION PROJECT
Expectations:
You are to create your own Tessellation Masterpiece. Your tessellation should include at least one of the following: a translation, a rotation, or a glide reflection. The tessellation should be constructed on a white poster board, attached with an explanation of the type of tessellation created and the original template used to create the pattern. The appearance of your tessellation should be unique and neat! You tessellation should cover the ENTIRE poster; there should be no gaps or unintentional white spaces. Coloring should be in the lines, and no wrinkled or torn projects! Remember your tessellation SHOULD BE ORIGINAL and creative!

How to create your tessellation:
- Watch the following videos on how to create each of the three types of tessellations:

- Translation - Easy
- Using the regular polygon template provided, create your ORIGINAL tessellation template. Make sure to go from edge to edge when drawing your lines and NO TRIMMING when you cut!
- Place your template at any one of the 4 corners and trace your first figure.
- Your next figure should fit like a puzzle piece with the first figure by either sliding or reflecting, depending on which tessellation you choose.
- Continue slide or reflecting your figure until the entire poster is covered. The neater you are at the beginning the easier this will be!
- Design and color your poster.
- BE CREATIVE & HAVE FUN!
What to turn in:
- Your tessellation poster - neat and flat!
- Your original template (attached with tape to the back)
- A short description of the method you used and the design you choose (attached with tape to the back)
